CBS’s “The Talk” is adding another male co-host.
Akbar Gbajabiamila has signed on to become co-host of the afternoon talker.
Gbajabiamila is a former NFLer and hosts “America Ninja Warrior” on NBC.
Earlier this year, the show announced it had hired Jerry O’Connell to become the first permanent male co-host of the show.
The show has shed three of its hosts from the last season this year, losing Sharon Osbourne after a scandal over alleged past racist comments and Carrie Ann Inaba and Elaine Welteroth quitting.
Inaba and Welteroth both reportedly were upset with the culture at the show and pressure brought on by Osbourne’s scandal.
Gbajabiamila and O’Connell with join Sheryl Underwood and Amanda Kloots.
“The Talk” was originally envisioned as an all female panel of mothers from different walks of life, though it has since welcomed female co-hosts without children and shed much of the original format.
