Epclusa, a drug to help treat the symptoms of Hepatitis C, has a logo that looks oddly like an NBC peacock feather.
- In the logo, the drug’s name appears next to a blue and teal teardrop shaped element that, despite some subtle scaling differences, looks a lot like the far left “feather” in the NBC peacock logo.
- NBC has, in a variety of ways, used the distinctive shape of the individual “feathers” in a variety of ways, including to form a five pointed circular arrangement for its “Education Nation” branding.
- The network’s “The More You Know” public service campaign, famous for its shooting star stinger, also uses a segment of the peacock in its updated look — though the curved end is removed in favor of a star created from negative space.
- Many NBC O&O stations also used the feather shape, in much the same way Epclusa does, in a 2008 graphics package.
