During an Aug. 9, 2019 press appearance on the South Lawn of the White House, Donald Trump told reporters “There’s never been a President like President Trump.”
Trump was responding to a question about gun control legislation.
“We’re looking at Toomey-Manchin. Actually, if you look, there are many bills that have been put in over a period of four, five years. They went nowhere,” referring to a 2013 attempt to pass gun control laws.
That’s when he made is assertion that “there’s never been a president” like him.
