A vehicle crashed into a crime scene live shot during a Colorado Springs station’s morning newscast.
- KRDO reporter Krystal Story was live on “Good Morning Colorado” during the 6 a.m. hour reporting from a shooting scene.
- During the live shot, an off-screen vehicle crashed into the crime scene.
- In the video of the accident, Story’s eyes dart off screen, apparently seeing the vehicle.
- She quickly moved out of camera range and thumps can be heard.
- The camera jerked away briefly, then wobbled a bit before the station cut to a live camera shot and the anchors took over.
- Shortly before the control room cut away, sirens can be heard — as well as a female voice saying “are you OK?”
- The station later tweeted a clip of the incident while also letting viewers know Story and the videographer Peter Miller are “Okay.”
