The Washington Post published a 12 page special section on mass shootings in America Sunday, Aug. 10, 2019.

The section includes a list of every mass shooting in America since 1966 — a total of 165 in the span of 54 years.

It also lists the names of all 1,196 victims of mass shootings in the U.S. since the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in December 2012.

“This is a moment to reflect on the horrific human toll of mass shootings in our country and to remember the individuals whose lives were cut short,” said Martin Baron, executive editor of the Post, in a statement.

In addition, the newspaper also included color photos of more than 400 victims of mass shootings.
