MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” opened the show Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 with a video clip of Polish President Andrzej Duda urging, at a joint press conference Tuesday, the U.S. to open a military base in his country that would presumably be named “Ft. Trump.”
- Through a translator, Duda is heard mentioning the notion that such a base would be named “Ft. Trump.”
- After the mention of “Ft. Trump,” MSNBC digitally “zoomed in” on Trump, who was listening to the translated speech via an earpiece, capturing his reaction to the idea.
- Trump can be seen nodding and giving a “sure, that’s cool” gesture.
- MSNBC then added in a harp string sound effect along with two oval images of military bases to poke fun at Trump’s reaction.
