- CNN filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump and senior administration officials after Acosta’s press pass was revoked.
- Acosta’s press pass was yanked after a confrontation during a post-election press conference with Donald Trump Nov. 7.
- After the incident, the White House posted what experts say is a doctored video clip showing Acosta making physical contact with the intern holding the microphone provided for members of the media.
- That action was cited as one of the reasons for removing his credentials.
- However, independent analysis of the video as well as both eyewitness accounts and other imagery from the press conference showed it to be faked.
- CNN’s lawsuit has gained the support of numerous news organizations, including Fox News.
