Amid Michelle Obama’s media blitz, NBC has booked her on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2018’s edition — but with a bit of a twist.
- Instead of a traditional interview with one of the show’s main anchors, Jenna Bush Hager will interview Obama.
- Hager is one of the twin daughters of former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.
- Her interview with Obama will focus on life in the White House, among other topics.
- Hager has been a “Today” show correspondent and contributor since 2009.
- She regularly fills in on the “Kathie Lee and Hoda” hour of the show.
- She has also been appearing frequently on “Today Third Hour,” the network’s possibly temporary replacement for the canceled “Megyn Kelly Today.”
- Obama has been appearing regularly on ABC in the past week — with a “20/20” special Sunday night and live interview Tuesday morning on “Good Morning America.”
- Obama also appeared live on “Today” earlier this fall to promote her new initiative for girls.
