YouTube TV has unlocked an “extended free preview” of Epix for its subscribers.
According to the email notification sent to customers, YouTube TV cut a deal with Epix to bring the channel to viewers free of charge between March 26 and April 25, 2020 as part of YouTube’s “Stay Home #WithMe” campaign that encourages isolation during the coronavirus pandemic.
Epix offers a schedule of movies, music and comedy events as well as original series. Much of its library is also available on demand via YouTube TV and other providers.
Notably, YouTube TV isn’t playing tricks with the preview such as signing you up to the normally premium channel automatically — it says it will remove the channel April 25 without requiring any action from subscribers and they won’t ever be billed for the channel.
