YouTube TV, the Google owned TV streaming service, has added a key block of channels, filling a significant void, but is also raising its price as it adds more markets.

  • TBS, TNT, CNN, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, truTV and Turner Classic Movies are now available on the platform
  • These channels represent a block of Turner-owned networks being added to the platform after a noticeable absence from the service
  • Still missing, however, are Viacom channels such as Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, BET and VH1
  • On March 13, new subscribers will pay $40 per month for the service, up $5 from the original $35 fee
  • Existing subscribers and ones who join prior to March 13 will still be charged the lower $35 per month rate
  • YouTube TV is also adding new markets, including Lexington, Dayton, Honolulu, El Paso, Burlington, Plattsburgh, Richmond, Petersburg, Mobile, Syracuse, Champaign, Springfield, Columbia, Charleston, Wichita and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
