Throughout much of the coronavirus pandemic, Google has been honoring the various front line workers — such as delivery people, grocery workers and food service employees — who play a key role in keeping things running despite lockdowns.
Google decided to pay tribute to teachers and child care workers Friday, April 17, 2020.
Today, we’d like to say:
To all teachers and childcare workers, thank you.

The drawing turns the “e” into a figure with glasses and a mortarboard and gown standing near a window with yellow curtains.
The design appears to be representing teaching remotely — with a laptop on a stack of books outfitted with a webcam that the “figure” is facing.
There’s also a whiteboard and a table with a sandwich and apple.
