See how one school welcomed back a student after his last round of chemo
John Oliver Zippay, or “JO” as he’s known, was welcomed backed to school with a standing ovation from his classmates and faculty after completing his last round of chemotherapy.

- Zippay was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2016 and has undergone three years of treatment.
- He’s been in and out of school during treatment — but that didn’t stop his school from giving him a great welcome back.
- In a video clip posted on Facebook, his classmates can be seen lining the hallways, cheering and giving him high fives as he walks down a school hallway.
