
Amazon updates Fire TV Cube, expanding Alexa integrations
Ahead of Apple’s big event Sept. 10, 2019, Amazon announced a string of new Alexa and Fire TV releases.
- Amazon will offer an updated version of the Fire TV Cube that links with streaming providers and uses Alexa voice recognition to let users control TVs, cable boxes and other devices.
- The Fire TV Cube works with Amazon’s own streaming service as well as Hulu, Netflix, Sling TV and more.
- In addition, a string of third party products will come with Fire TV software built in — including a soundbar and smart TVs.
