California Live,” a daily lifestyle show that airs on three NBC-owned stations in the Golden State has announced it is adding Jobeth Devera as its Bay Area correspondent.

Devera will join co-hosts Jessica Vilchis and Danielle Nottingham, along with correspondent Amber Pfister, to bring audiences the latest trends in lifestyle topics, pop culture and entertainment across the golden state. Devera will make her on-air debut in late August.

“We are thrilled to have Jobeth join the ‘California Live’ team. As an experienced storyteller, I’m confident she will bring a fresh perspective and energy that makes her the perfect guide to everything the Bay Area has to offer,” said Katherine Cook, executive producer of the show, in a statement.

Devera, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, most recently served as the host of NBC’s national news show “LX News,” a position she held since 2020 where she covered the civil unrest following the death of George Floyd, the presidential election, and the global pandemic. NBCUniversal shut down the LX brand earlier in 2023.

Prior to joining LX News, she was part of the Hawaii News Now team where she held roles as reporter and anchor. In 2018 she helped launch “HI Now,” Hawaii’s newest lifestyle show, where she won her first Emmy Award as the host and producer. Devera, a California native, began her career in journalism as a producer for Nebraska TV News and went on to hold positions as reporter and anchor for KETV in Omaha. She earned her degree in Communications and a minor in Public Relations from San Diego State University.

“After being away from home for more than a decade, I’m excited to be back in the beautiful state of California,” said Devera. “I look forward to working alongside this talented team and discovering new adventures with our viewers.”

“California Live,” produced from NBCUniversal’s combined broadcast facility in Universal City, California, airs live Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. Pacific on NBC on-air and digital platforms in Los Angeles (KNBC), San Francisco (KNTV) and San Diego (KNSD).
