Chicago station names new midday co-anchor

WGN, Nexstar’s news heavy independent station in Chicago has named Julie Unruh co-anchor of its midday news.
Unruh will join current midday co-anchor Dana Bair, giving the show a two female anchor format.
Unruh joined WGN in 2001 and anchored for its now defunct CLTV channel.
She previously contributed to WGN’s morning newscasts as well as the 9 and 10 p.m. shows, covering a wide variety of topics ranging from human interest to unusual news to breaking news.
Unruh replaces Steve Sanders, who retired.
