Just a few days after joining the Fox O&O in Washington, D.C., former NBC News correspondent Blake McCoy has landed behind the anchor desk.
- McCoy will anchor the station’s 6:30 p.m. newscast alongside Shawn Yancy, he announced on Instagram.
- The station has been shuffling anchors since former “GMA” meteorologist turned anchor Tony Perkins retired from the station earlier this year.
- The station originally launched the 6:30 p.m. newscast in 2016 as a political-focused newscast.
