NBC L.A. station names assistant news director

Marina Perelman has been promoted to assistant news director at KNBC in Los Angeles.
- Perelman, who brings nearly 20 years of broadcast television experience to the role, will report directly to Renee Washington, vice president of news.
- She has worked in a variety of roles at KNBC, including executive producer of the 11 p.m. newscast since 2013.
- Perelman also managed the station’s Olympics coverage, guiding the station’s “Today in LA” morning show in its live broadcast from Rio de Janeiro during the 2016 Summer Olympics.
- She also directed the station’s 2016 presidential election coverage from Washington D.C. and helped run its award-winning investigative team.
- She was promoted to managing editor in 2017.
