YouTube TV adds Hallmark networks

YouTube TV has added three Hallmark Channel owned networks to its offering — with no price increase for subscribers.
Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Drama are rolling out to eligible subscribers as of Nov. 13, 2021.
All three networks are owned by Crown Media, who negotiated a deal with YouTube TV to bring these channels to the streaming TV provider.
The three channels are being offered at no additional cost over the $64.99 base plan.
YouTube TV has steadily added channels over the years and also raised its monthly fee periodically, the last time in November 2020.
Despite some speculation that the service would simply “push” another price hike down the road when another batch of channels is added an exec said YouTube doesn’t expect any adjustments in the near future.
The addition of the networks comes at a key time: The network is in the middle of its annual “Countdown to Christmas” slate of original movies that have grown to become enormously popular and profitable for the network thanks to their relatively low production costs and high ratings, especially in the key demos.
