The new CEO of NBCUniversal has tested positive for coronavirus, he said in a staff email.

Jeff Shell took over as CEO of the media conglomerate Jan. 1, 2020. He succeeded Steve Burke, who is scheduled to retire from the company in August 2020.

Until then, Burke is serving as chairman of NBCUniversal.

Shell announced he will quarantine himself and work from home until it is safe for him to return to the office.

NBCUniversal has directed most of its employees to work from home if possible during the coronavirus outbreak.
