‘Vice’ (the documentary show) to get second life on Showtime

Showtime has signed a deal to revive the “Vice” news documentary show.
- HBO canceled the “Vice” weekly documentary show in early 2019.
- HBO also dropped the daily “Vice News Tonight,” marking the end of a seven year partnership between Vice Media and HBO.
- “Vice News Tonight” now airs as part of Vice’s own Viceland channel, a partnership with A+E Networks.
- “Vice,” meanwhile, will start airing on Showtime in Spring of 2020.
