Alfonso Ribeiro will be joining returning host Tyra Banks for “Dancing with the Stars” when it moves to Disney+ in the fall of 2022.

ABC announced that its hit reality dancing competitor would move to Disney+ in April 2022 for its 31st season.

Disney is the parent company of both ABC and Disney+.

The announcement also noted that the show had been renewed for Season 31 and 32, with both seasons slated to appear exclusively on Disney+.

Ribeiro is known for starring as the fictional Carlton Banks (no related to Tyra) on “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alongside Will Smith in the 1990s.

He has also competed on the show and filled in for former host Tom Bergeron.

“‘Dancing with the Stars’ has been such an important part of my life for so many years, and I am ecstatic to officially re-join this tight-knit family as co-host,” he said in a press release, adding that he hopes his “longstanding friendship” with the supermodel will resonate with viewers.

Once a massive powerhouse hit for ABC, the show has started to lose some of its sparkle in recent years, leading the network to ax longtime host Bergeron and co-host Erin Andrews after Season 28 in what many viewed as a shakeup.

The move to Disney+ was also a surprise move by the network. While it could be a strategic move to bolster Disney+’s offerings into live and reality programming, it also could be tied to the lower ratings.
