A group of anti-COVID vaccine protestors attempted to storm a building they thought was the headquarters of British broadcaster BBC — but apparently did not do their research.
The group protesting government rules for so-called “vaccine passports” attempted to enter a facility known as Television Centre in West London, which the BBC moved out of in 2013.
White Television Centre is now a mixed used facility that does include television production facilities but also apartments.
BBC and its BBC News operations moved to Broadcasting House in 2013 as part of a massive restoration and addition project that started in 2003 and featured a phased move in approach.
Broadcasting House is about 5 miles from Television Centre.
It does not appear the protestors breached the building, but they did clash with police and building security.
