Journalists of color are pushing the media as a whole to cover the “hyper-racial” political scene the country is facing.
The Associated Press named Errin Haines Whack, already a national race and ethnicity reporter, to its 2020 election team.
Meanwhile, journalists have taken to social media to express how “psychologically and emotionally tolling” racial conversations and coverage can be.
