After Mediate published a story, citing anonymous sources, that CNN anchor Jake Tapper went “ballistic” after a bungled segment, two prominent conservative news sites were quick to pick up the story.
- Both Fox News’ website and Breitbart republished the story.
- TVNewsMix also published a summary of Mediaite’s reporting.
- As of this writing, these two sites are the lone major news sites with full length reports on the alleged incident that appear in Google News.
- Fox’s story includes references to MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell getting caught on off-air tape yelling to “stop the hammering.”
- Breitbart, meanwhile, pointed out that Tapper has questioned if ”the United States and Russia are on the same moral plain” on Tuesday, July 24, 2018’s edition of “The Lead.”
