A Fox videographer was killed in the same attack that injured his colleague Benjamin Hall while covering the Ukraine-Russia crisis.
Pierre Zakrzewski’s death was reported by the network March 15, 2022.
Details of the incident remain unclear but the network has confirmed Zakrzewski’s death and Hall’s injury. Hall was reportedly hospitalized after the attack with what some outlets described as significant injuries.
Fox’s John Roberts praised Zakrzewski on Twitter, saying he “was an absolute treasure.”
Horrible news to report: Fox cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski was killed in the same attack that wounded correspondent Benjamin Hall. I worked with Pierre many times around the world. He was an absolute treasure. Sending our most heartfelt prayers to Pierre's wife and family.

Zakrzewski’s death appears to be the second of a foreign journalist covering the Russian invasion of Ukraine that started Feb. 24, 2022, happening shortly around the same time as filmmaker and journalist Brent Renaud was killed.
Renaud was working on a documentary about refugees from various countries around the world for Time magazine’s video division and had traveled to Ukraine to capture the plight of those fleeing the country.
Zakrzewski leaves behind a wife and family members, according to Roberts’ tweet.
