“Fox & Friends First” co-host Jillian Mele announced she is leaving Fox News Oct. 29, 2021.
Mele is planning to move back to Philadelphia, where she is from, and work on getting an MBA from La Salle University.
She also noted the grueling 1 a.m. wake up call to be on air for the show at 4 a.m. as one the driving forces in her decision.
Fellow cabler Poppy Harlow previously took a leave of absence to enroll in a legal studies program.
Carley Shimkus, who has been with the network since 2009 will take over the chair alongside Todd Piro.
“Fox & Friends First” is Fox’s early morning program that’s co-branded to match its morning news show “Fox & Friends” at 7 a.m.
