Fox poll says over half polled want Trump impeached and removed from office

51% of voters want Donald Trump impeached and removed from office according to a new poll from Fox.

  • In a poll taken Oct. 6-8, 2019 and released Oct. 9, 2019, the number of people wanting Trump impeached and removed from office stands at just over half.
  • Compare that to July 2019, when 42% wanted that action.
  • In the “impeached but not removed” column, 4% of those polled support that, down slightly from 5% in July.
  • Meanwhile, 40% of those polled say Trump should not be impeached, down from 45% in July.
  • The poll also shows growing support for impeachment among all demographics.
  • Democrats rose 11 points while Republicans increased 5 — and 3 percent among independents.
  • Evangelical Christians also rose 5 points, white men without a college degree increased 8 and rural whites up 10 — all three key demographic groups for Trump.
