YouTube TV has added Fox Weather to its channel lineup.

All YouTube TV subscribers can now view the live feed of the Fox owned weather network as well as record shows using the cloud DVR feature.

YouTube TV previously announced plans to add The Weather Channel to its live TV offering later in 2022, though a date hasn’t been announced.

Fox Weather does not offer local forecasts or information like The Weather Channel does, something it accomplishes through special software maintained by pay TV providers that inserts automated graphics and maps over the national feed in most markets.

It wasn’t immediately clear if The Weather Channel will be localized on YouTube TV when it launches.

With the launch, this will be the first time Fox Weather will be available on a linear TV service — albeit one that’s delivered via streaming, notes The Streamable.

Previously, the network would occasionally be picked up by Fox Business on weekends.

Fox Weather is available free via its website and mobile and smart TV apps, with commercial breaks funding its operation.

YouTube TV did not raise prices with the addition of Fox Weather, though it’s not clear if The Weather Channel addition will trigger a price increase.
