‘Friends’ will be streaming there for you — but only on HBO Max

Reruns of the popular sitcom “Friends” will leave Netflix in 2020.
WarnerMedia, which is the parent company of Warner Brothers Television, which owns the rights to “Friends,” will move the series to its own streaming service.
The Wall Street Journal reported Netflix had paid $80 million to keep “Friends” on its service for one year.
Meanwhile, HBO Max is reportedly paying $425 million for the streaming rights to “Friends” — but that transaction is largely internal.
