Group accuses Kellyanne Conway of violating Hatch Act 50 times
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has been keeping count of Kellyanne Conway’s alleged Hatch Act violations — and it’s hit 50 times.
- By its count, the group says Conway has violated the law 50 times on Twitter alone.
- The White House’s own Office of Special Counsel found that Conway had violated the Hatch Act 22 times and recommended she be removed from her position.
- The Hatch Act bars federal officials from using their position to promote one party or candidates over another.
- Conway has brushed off the accusations: “Blah, blah, blah … Let me know when the jail sentence starts,” she told a reporter in June.
