The highly anticipating “Friends” reunion special set for HBO Max is being postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The unscripted special featuring cast members as themselves (as opposed to their “Friends” characters) was set to tape over two days starting March 23, 2020, but that shoot has been postponed with much of Hollywood shutting down due to the pandemic.
The special was set to film on Stage 24 on the Warner Bros. lot, where the show filmed for most of its 10 season run.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer reportedly are receiving between $2.5 and $3 million each for participating.
