HBO responds to ‘Game of Thrones’ petition

HBO has acknowledged a fan petition to have the final season of “Game of Thrones” redone with “competent writers.”

While the online Change.org petitions garnered more than 1 million signatures, HBO hadn’t responded to the idea.

Casey Bloys, the network’s president, finally addressed the petition at a Television Critics Association event, saying it is “not something we seriously considered.”
