Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, ABC News medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton has appeared regularly on “Pandemic: What You Need to Know” and its predecessor, “GMA3: What You Need to Know” answering medical questions.

To submit a question to Dr. Ashton, ABC News instructs users to submit questions on her Instagram profile — though it doesn’t say exactly how to do it.

There are two options: One, post your question as a comment on one of the photos on the profile. Alternatively, you can try sending her account a direct message by following it (if you aren’t already) and then clicking the “Message” button on her profile page.

It is not clear which way is more effective.

If you don’t have an Instagram account, you won’t be able to post a question or send Dr. Ashton a message on the platform.

A possible alternative would be to fill out this form on the ABCNews.com website, though it’s not immediately clear if that will direct inquiries to the correct team.

It’s also important to keep in mind that ABC News, like most major news organizations, likely receives hundreds of inquiries every day, including many questions for Dr. Ashton, and likely can only answer a small handful of them.
