Watch this news anchor bring super simple form of “immersive mixed reality” to a video wall using her breath.
- Tanya Rivera, an anchor for WFMY 2 News in Greensboro, North Carolina, channel her inner Elsa and “turned” a video graphic frosty cold.
- In reality, River simply let out of a puff of air aimed the video wall while a carefully timed animation simulated cold air revealing the the word “Arctic Cold.”
- Rivera joking said her “power” was the result of an Ice Breakers mint (not sure if they’re a newscast sponsor), but of course the actual effect all original in the control room and design team.
Did I just have an @IceBreakersMint ?!? Maybe. But one thing is for sure, @TimBuckleyWX says it’s going to be #stupidcold @WFMY https://t.co/nIw6ZP22Id pic.twitter.com/QL84NzKGIx
