Key members of the “Game of Thrones” cast and production team have pulled out of appearing at San Diego International Comic-Con.
According to a revised guest list released by HBO, writers and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will no longer appear.
Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei of Naath) and director Miguel Sapochnik are no longer appearing either.
HBO said the absences are due to “schedule conflicts” and offered no further comment.
Benioff and Weiss were criticized by many fans for the quality of the script of the final season of the HBO series.
Some have even called for the final season to be rewritten and re-shot.
