Lara Spencer apologizes for making fun of Prince George taking ballet

“Good Morning America” anchor Lara Spencer has apologized for poking fun at Prince George’s upcoming ballet classes.

During a “Hot News” segment Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, Spencer announced what the upcoming school year would look like for the royal kid.

When she mentioned ballet classes would be included, the studio audience laughed.

“Oh, he looks so happy about the ballet class,” Spencer said as a picture of Prince George in soccer jersey appeared on the screen.

“Prince William says Prince George absolutely loves ballet. I have news for you, Prince William: We’ll see how long that lasts,” she added.

“My sincere apologies for an insensitive comment I made in pop news yesterday,” Spencer wrote in an Instagram post.

“From ballet to anything one wants to explore in life, I say GO FOR IT. I fully believe we should all be free to pursue our passions. Go climb your mountain and love every minute of it.”
