NBC will once again partner with Comic Relief and Red Nose Day to help raises funds for children living in poverty around the world — and it’s planning a celebrity escape room special.

The special will air May 21, 2020 at 8 p.m. eastern and feature Jack Black as the “game master” host of “Celebrity Escape Room.”

Meanwhile, Ben Stiller, Adam Scott, Courtney Cox and Lisa Kudrow will have to leverage their comedic talents to “escape” from multiple rooms.

The more rooms they manage to escape from the more money they will earn for Red Nose Day.

The concept is based on the popular escape room experiences operating around the world — with the added element of comedy, a perfect nod to NBC’s goal of using comedy and entertainment to raise awareness and funds via Red Nose Day.

The special will be followed by a two hour telethon featuring a lineup of music and comedy as well as real life stories of poverty around the world and how Comic Relief works to combat it.

“Celebrity Escape Room” will be executive produced by Stiller, Black, Christine Taylor, Nicky Weinstock, Amiira Ruotola and Lee Metzger.
