Despite reports circulating that former “Today” and “CBS Evening News” anchor, talk show host and Yahoo! global anchor Katie Couric has a new gig — it’s not quite true.
- While it is true that Couric did announce she was starting Katie Couric Media and working with Procter and Gamble as one of her first clients, the announcement tweet being circulated was from June 2018 — over a year ago.
- Couric inked a deal with Procter and Gamble to produce advertorial style content.
- Couric has pinned the tweet to the top of her Twitter profile, which perhaps could have lead to the confusion that the the tweet was new — but a closer look at the timestamp shows the 2018 date.
Thrilled to announce the launch of KCM (Katie Couric Media) and that I am partnering with @ProcterGamble & other brands I deeply respect to create premium, purposeful and engaging content.
