NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” started its Saturday, April 10, 2021, episode with a cold open featuring a fictional Minnesota newscast featuring two Black people and two white people discussing — and often making some good points through humor — of the issues surrounding race and the trial of the former white police officer charged in the death of Black man George Floyd, Derek Chauvin.
