Fox’s conservative commentary channel rejected an anti-Trump ad from a teachers’ union — one that CNN plans to air.

The American Federation of Teachers attempted to buy airtime for the 30 second spot through its PAC to air during coverage of the 2020 Republican National Convention, but Fox rejected the ad, according to the union.

The PAC would have paid a total $180,000 to air the ad once Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 and again Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, according to the HuffPost.

CNN, meanwhile, is slated to receive $34,000 to air the same ad under a similar arrangement and has not rejected the ad.

The ad, which was also released on the AFT YouTube channel, focuses on the Trump administration’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and its affect on schools and teachers.

Fox, meanwhile, told HuffPost that it has not “rejected” the ad — but rather has “asked for AFT to revise the ad for accuracy and is waiting for the updated copy.”

The network did not identify what content in the ad it finds to be questionable.
