Third and fourth CBS employees test positive for coronavirus
CBS News has determined an additional two employees are infected with the coronavirus.
The news, which CBS News president Susan Zirinsky announced in a staff memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, says the third person worked “with” the other two people who already tested positive at the network.
The network’s HR team is starting to run down lists of people those infected with the virus were in contact with and is providing support to those staffers.
A fourth infection was announced Friday, March 13, 2020.
CBS shut down most of its New York operations after the first two cases were confirmed via testing. This caused “CBS This Morning” to move to Washington, D.C., CBSN to switch to Boston and CBS Sports using the network’s Florida facilities.
Staffers in New York have been told to work from home while the facilities are cleaned.
