WCBS morning forecaster dies at 51

WCBS meteorologist Elise Finch has died at 51.
Finch, whose full name was Elise Dione Finch Henriques, died at a New York area hospital, the station announced Sunday, July 16, 2023.
The cause of death has not been determined.
“Elise was a gifted and consummate professional who took great care with her work. She was also a wonderful ambassador in the community, including her hometown of Mount Vernon,” reads a story on the station’s website.
Finch has been with WCBS for 16 years, joining the station in 2007 on the weekend shift.
She most recently appeared on the station’s morning news with Mary Calvi and Chris Wragge. She also appeared on the station’s 9 a.m. newscast that launched in September 2022.
Finch was married to WCBS photojournalist Graig Henriques. The couple has a daughter, Grace.
