Weather Channel announces weekend host of its daily Quibi show

The Weather Channel has announced that meteorologist Liana Brackett will host the weekend edition of “Weather Today” the network is producing for mobile video startup Quibi.

Quibi is slated to launch April 6, 2020. The Weather Channel is the exclusive weather provider for the new service.

Brackett was previously a weekend forecaster at KPTV in Oregon.

She joins Jordan Steele, the previously announced weekday weather anchor for the program.
