Fox’s Dan Bongino has been permanently banned from YouTube for misinformation about COVID-19.

Bongino hosts “Unfiltered” on the network’s primary cable feed, “The Dan Bongino Show” on its streamer Fox Nation and also has his own, separate syndicated radio show.

YouTube first suspended one of Bongino’s YouTube accounts Jan. 20, 2022 after he posted content about the ineffectiveness of masks, despite repeated, peer reviewed scientific evidence that says otherwise. YouTube has a policy against posting misinformation about COVID-19.

The suspension was supposed to last a week, but after Bongino allegedly tried to circumvent the ban by uploading another video to a separate channel resulted in him being banned from the platform completely.

On YouTube, a single Google Account can control or manage multiple distinct channels.

“If a channel is terminated, the uploader is unable to use, own or create any other YouTube channels,” said YouTube in a statement.

The bans did not affect any of Fox’s YouTube channels because they are not run by Bongino.

Now that his YouTube ban is in place, Bongino intends to shift to posting to Rumble, a YouTube alternative that’s often used by conservative content creators because its rules are less stringent.
