NBC News Now adds more live streaming hours with Aaron Gilchrist

NBC’s 24 hour streaming service is adding another two hour block of live news coverage Monday through Friday from noon to 2 p.m. eastern.

Former WRC anchor Aaron Gilchrist has been tapped to anchor the new show on NBC News Now, which launches March 8, 2021.

NBC News Now is ad supported and available for free a variety of platforms, including NBCNews.com,Peacock, and on YouTube, YouTube TV, The Roku Channel, Fubo, Xumo, Pluto, Tubi and NBC News’ OTT apps on Roku, Fire TV and Apple TV.

Dubbed as “NBC News Now with Aaron Gilchrist,” the show airs Monday to Friday with Andre Brooks EPing.

Janelle Rodriguez is SVP, “NBC Nightly News,” NBC News Now and breaking news specials.

“With NBC News NOW’s continued growth, we’re thrilled to be able to expand programming during the day to reach an even larger streaming audience,” said Rodriguez in a statement. “We are meeting viewers demands for deeply journalistic, original programming, combined with premium quality production, that keeps users engaged and coming back for more.”

This programming is the newest addition to the streaming service’s growing slate of programming, including morning offers “Morning News Now,” “Meet the Press Reports” and the afternoon show immediately following Gilchrist’s, anchored by Alison Morris.

Other recent programming additions include “Can You Hear Us Know?,” “Planet 2020,” “Are You Better Off?,” “Pride & Protest” and more.

In addition, Peacock’s “The Mehdi Hasan Show” recently added a weekly edition on MSNBC.

According to NBC data, NBC News Now is reaching more than 25 million viewers each month, with nearly than 90 million total views and 35 million hours watched monthly.
