Apple TV+’s drama about the inner-workings of a network morning show newsroom has been renewed for a fourth season ā€” before its third season has even debuted.

The Morning Show” debuted as one of the original offerings on Apple TV+ in 2019.

It has had two 10-episode seasons so far, with the last episodes of Season 2 being released in November 2021.

The show reportedly wrapped filming of Season 3 in February 2023 and the show is now in post-production.

Apple has not given the show a premiere date, though some sources say Apple is targeting the fall of 2023.

In the past, Apple has not dropped all episodes at once like rival Netflix tends to do, instead preferring to release a few early episodes at once and then going to a weekly release schedule.

Season 3 is expected to welcome John Hamm and Nicole Beharie as new characters.

The series also stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin, Marcia Gay Harden, Greta Lee, Ruairi O’Connor, Hasan Minhaj, Holland Taylor, Tara Karsian, Valeria Golino and Julianna Margulies.

No casting announcements were made for Season 4 at the time of its renewal.

(Spoilers ahead) Steve Carrell also appeared in the first two seasons. His character was killed off during that season. His name has not been listed in most publicity materials about Season 3, but it’s not clear if he might make appearances via newly-filmed flashbacks or dream sequences.

At the end of the last season’s fictional timeline, the COVID-19 pandemic had just started to grip the nation. Fictional network UBA launched a new streaming service, but plans went awry due to the pandemic. Aniston’s character, Alex Levy, appears on the streamer live to document her COVID-19 battle but also draws a line in the sand with viewers.
