ABC has given its daytime “Good Morning America” spinoff “GMA Day” its own Twitter account.
- The show, which debuted in September 2018, replacing “The Chew,” took over the Twitter handle @GMADay Jan. 10, 2019.
- As of Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. eastern, the account has only 371 followers, according to Twitter’s posted count.
- The show has been leveraging the hashtag “#GMADay” since its debut.
- “GMA Day” has also had a Facebook account since at least Sept. 25, 2018, though it’s handle there is “GMADayTV,” with “GMADay” redirecting to a user profile of “gma.day.”
- Both social media accounts make use of the show’s vanity URL shortener domain name “gma.abc” that leverages its parent’s network top level domain extension “.abc.”
