CBS planning ‘Big Bang Theory’ farewell

CBS will pay tribute to the end of one its biggest hits with a look back at the series.
- “Unraveling the Mystery: A Big Bang Farewell” will air at 9:30 p.m. eastern after the Season 2 finale of “The Big Bang Theory” spinoff “Young Sheldon.”
- It will immediately precede the series finale of “The Big Bang Theory” on Thursday, May 16.
- The special will include stars Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco with a retrospective of the series.
- “Big Bang” holds the record as the longest running multi-camera comedy in TV history — coming in at 279 episodes.
- The show is also one of the highest rated shows in recent history.
