CNN anchor asks Republicans to call in about Trump’s tweet — and the Internet reacts

CNN “New Day” anchor John Berman invited Republican Congressman to call in to the show if they found Donald Trump’s tweet racist.

• “If you are a Republican member of Congress who has issues with the President’s racist comments this weekend, we will take your call,” he wrote.
• It doesn’t appear CNN aired any calls, though it’s not immediately clear if anyone called in.
• Berman also did not provide a phone number to call, though presumably Congressional staffers have contact numbers for the network on file.
• Meanwhile, Berman’s tweet attracted a variety of wry responses — as well as some trolling.
