CNN commentator David Urban has come under fire after appearing on the network praising Donald Trump’s rollback environmental protections but failing to disclose his lobbyist ties.
The lapse was pointed out by Media Matters for America.
Urban’s firm has taken $870,000 from fossil fuel clients.
Urban appeared on CNN air four times on two separate Jake Tapper shows: “The Lead” and “State of the Union.”
Media Matters reached out to CNN for comment but did not receive a response.
However, on a June 30 appearance on “State of the Union” the network did add a disclosure at the top of the segment.
